There is no other association of skilled professionals that spends so much energy (and makes so much money from) trying to “develop, train, nurture and
convert” non-professionals to professionals. This is like the American Medical Association running medical schools. It’s simply not what they are designed to do. You join the American Medical Association ONCE YOU’RE A DOCTOR; they don’t help you become one. Same with CPAs, attorneys, and jet pilots. The professional association is NOT the same as the training ground.” Comments from David Newman. What are your thoughts?

How can we syergize the Academy for Professional Speaking (NSA National program) and the Candidate/Affilate programming (Chapter programming) to create a win win for both parties? How can we leverage the benefits of both programs?

There are so many names for the chapter candidate/affiliate membership and its programming. Is there one name that you think would encompass this membership type for all chapters? Should this be regulated?
